Engineering Technician

Overview

Engineering Technician position at Actalent in Mankato, MN. This is a Contract to Hire role with opportunities to grow within the test department.

• Evaluate and document mechanical and electrical failures.
• Set up bench test equipment for device diagnostics.
• Perform qualification and validation activities to support manufacturing and engineering.
• Maintain manufacturing, quality, and materials records.
• Support tooling and product/part document systems.
• Enter and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system.
• Coordinate customer SCR/ECR/ECOs and ECNs.
• Coordinate engineering prototype builds.
• Support process capabilities, evaluations, and improvements.
• Interpret customer prints, bills of materials, and special requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve product issues.

• 1+ year of experience in electronics or relevant school experience.
• Proficiency in test set up and troubleshooting.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, oscilloscopes, circuit testing, and circuit boards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, optical inspection, and validation processes.
• Ability to assist with test fixtures and troubleshoot failed circuit boards.
• Experience in test setups.

Interface with customers to assess and document packages, support methods improvement activities, collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to introduce new products, prepare documentation, develop training, and produce estimate and analysis reports.

Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.
