Responsibilities

Produces high‑quality images for interpretation by physicians, ensuring standards set by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Competence in a variety of imaging equipment and technology, as determined by competency assessments.
  • Practicing safety guidelines for self, staff, and patients.
  • Fostering teamwork through effective communication.
  • Ensuring high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintaining flexibility to staff various locations, shift times, and lengths.
  • Performing other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.
Multiple FTE available

.75 (60 hours per pay period) or 1.0 (80 hours per pay period).

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography or nuclear medicine program.
  • Organized, efficient, multifunctional.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication.
  • Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on‑call pager (days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends).
Additional Qualifications

MRI Technologist experience preferred.

License Or Certification
  • ARRT certified in Radiography or NMTCB.
  • ARRT certified in MRI within 18 months of hire (24 months for Critical Access Hospital, Per Diem, or Supplemental employees).
  • Additional certifications may be required and determined by Radiology leadership.
  • Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate practices (if required).
  • BLS certified.
Exemption Status

Nonexempt.

Compensation Detail

$34.75 – 52.11 per hour. Shift differential available for evenings, nights, and weekend hours, including call.

Schedule Details

Multiple FTE available: .75 or 1.0. Three or Four 10‑hour shifts a week, primarily daytime. Approximately one evening shift and call every other week. One holiday per year on a fair rotation (call only).

About one weekend of call every 10th weekend. Less than one every other month.
