Part‑Time Direct Support Professional (DSP)

This position is eligible for a $1,000 hiring bonus!

Provide support to those with developmental disabilities in a person‑centered way. Encourage independence and daily personal growth while assisting with cares and engaging in home and community activities.

Work anywhere from 8 to 40 hours a week. Requires working at least every other Saturday and Sunday and fill‑in/holidays. Shifts may include 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–10:00 PM, 12:00 PM–4:00 PM, or 4:00 PM–8:00 PM.

$16.50 per hour after 90‑day introductory period, starting at $16.00 per hour.

• Provide direct care for others in an individualized and meaningful way.
• Assist in personal cares.
• Engage in community activities such as bowling, shopping, watching a movie, or exercising.
• Complete daily direct care such as bathing, toileting, feeding, and dressing.
• Complete household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all communications.
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and pass a driving record check unless otherwise noted.
• Must pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study.
• Prior experience as CNA, PCA, caregiver, DSP, or healthcare‑related professional is preferred.
