Financial Manager
YWCA Mankato is seeking a mission-driven Finance Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about strengthening an organization committed to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensure accuracy and accountability across systems, and partner closely with the Executive Director, program managers, and the Board of Directors to support strong fiscal health and strategic growth. This is a 20-25 hour per week position and is not benefit eligible and can be 100% in person or a hybrid schedule can be negotiated.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Oversight- Develop the annual organizational budget in collaboration with the Executive Director and program leads.
- Manage implementation of the approved budget and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Monitor expenditures and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing using Quick Books Online
. - Prepare monthly financial reports for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Coordinate annual audits or financial reviews with certified public accountants and implement approved recommendations.
- Serve as primary liaison to the Board Treasurer.
- Manage fiduciary responsibilities related to organizational partnerships.
- Review staff timesheets for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor all contractual and legal requirements of the Association.
- Research best practices in benefits administration and support HR-related financial duties as needed.
- Will be the primary administrator for the Minnesota Paid Family Medical Leave Program
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online
- Accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in human resources or benefits administration is a plus.
- Strong skills in Microsoft 360
