This position assembles parts according to work order instructions.

• Assemble various elevator parts with bolts and clips according to work order instructions.
• Strap down assembled parts for shipping.
• Follow established company and departmental precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
• Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous environment at Minnesota Elevator, Inc.
• Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by supervisor and coworkers.
• Execute additional tasks as needed.

• Welding experience, required.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Position requires approximately 20% sitting, 40% walking and 40% standing. The ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach with hands and arms on a continual basis is required. The position requires the ability to climb or balance as well as stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on an occasional basis. Also, the position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words.

Position has no special vision requirements. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis is required. Jobholder is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and the risk of electrical shock on an occasional basis. Position is exposed to loud noise (e.g., metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
