Starting Salary: $25.58 – $35.82 hourly

Coordinate plant‑wide safety and environmental programs for all employees to provide an injury‑free workplace that complies with and exceeds all regulations. Serve as a resource, communicator, trainer, and solutions provider for safety and environmental matters, engaging employees and leading proactive injury reduction initiatives.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and manage safety/environmental policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on workplace safety practices.
- Lead all safety related activities, including initiatives and the plant safety committee.
- Inspect facilities to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and monitor implementation.
- Compile and submit accident and environmental reports to Nidec Corporate and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on workers’ compensation programs to reduce lost time.
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental records in accordance with corporate retention guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of all environmental permits and reports.
- Lead investigations of work‑related incidents, recommending corrective action.
- Act as a resource for managers and employees on safety and environmental issues.
- Prepare required OSHA and company reports.
- Perform administrative duties including filing, tracking data, and communications.
- Write, review, or update safety policies and procedures.
- 1–3 years applicable experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience generating regulatory reporting and interpreting OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910).
- Experience with safety teams, employee training, incident investigation, and corrective actions.
- Worker Compensation Certification is a plus.
- OSHA (10/30), CPR, First Aid certification is a plus.
- Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in safety, environmental, industrial technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
