The Culinary Assistant is responsible for serving resident meals in the dining room and to‑go service. This position is part‑time, 48 hours every two weeks, day shift, with an every other weekend and holiday rotation.

• Serve meals and maintain a clean, inviting dining area.
• Follow meal serving schedules, procedures, and resident dietary needs.
• Use proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Adhere to the dining room cleaning schedule and setup procedures.
• Learn and efficiently use the EMenu System and restaurant‑style service.
• Ensure all dishes, flatware, and drinkware are washed, sanitized, and stored before shift end.
• Promote resident relations: welcome residents, respond to requests and substitutions, and handle complaints calmly.
• Escalate issues to the Executive Director and Culinary Director when appropriate.

• Less than 1 year of culinary or food service experience.

• High School Diploma.
• 1 year of experience in a similar role.
