Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Crusher Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our operations, operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including crushers, loaders, dozers and excavators to ensure safe and efficient production.
Responsibilities:- Operator heavy equipment such as crushers, loaders, dozers and excavators safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mobile equipment to minimize downtime.
- Operator and maintain crushing equipment, including Kleeman jaw, cone, impact crushers, screens, gen sets, conveyors and stackers.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Follow established protocols and safety procedures, including incident reporting.
- Communicate plant site issues with foremen and management during daily inspections.
- Assist with plant maintenance and repair, including labor work, cutting, fabricating and welding.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Coordinate effectively with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Demonstrated commitment to a personal and passionate safety culture.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in aggregate or mining operations, with knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, and related equipment.
- Previous mining or production experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Loader and crusher operation experience preferred.
- Welding, fabrication and repair experience is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, variable weather environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record; CDL Class A required.
- Willingness to travel to various locations in Southern Minnesota.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Tolerance for working in dirty, dusty and variable weather conditions.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
- Understanding key preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Knowledge of laws, policies, and regulations affecting mining operations.
- Ability to implement workplace changes efficiently using available resources.
