Duct Cleaning Technician

Description Position Summary

Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our Duct Cleaning Technicians are individuals who can problem solve and complete projects from start to finish. As a Duct Cleaning Technician, you are involved with assisting the Lead Technician with completion of residential and commercial projects. Keeping job sites clean and orderly is important to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Laying out air hoses
• Set up and tear down equipment
• Assist and operate Power Vac equipment
• Cleaning dryer vents
• Operating compressed air tools and attachments, vacuums, and motorized brushes
• Cutting and patching sheet metal
• Perform thorough cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust systems (hoods, ducts, fans, filters)
• Safely remove grease, debris, and other buildup to meet industry and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards
• Additional duties

• Ability to learn and take direction from lead technician/manager
• Valid Driver’s License
• Physical Endurance (will be required to go in attics, climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, roofs, lifts, confined spaces)
• Attention to details:
  Inspecting equipment, structures and material
• No fear of heights
• Lift 50+ lbs
• Sit, stand, and climb stairs
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours (some cleanings are before/after business hours)

Starting pay ranges from $20-26 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be able to use hands, will talk and hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
