Industrial Mechanic Plant Maintenance – 1st Shift

Location: Mankato, MN
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Job Overview: The Industrial Mechanic Plant Maintenance is responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate performance of routine maintenance in an industrial laundry facility. Duties include preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintaining proper records.
Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance in daily preventative maintenance schedule.
- Maintain all plant equipment, including high‑volume industrial washers and dryers.
- Repair and replace equipment as needed; perform basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues by following technical manuals and schematics.
- Order necessary parts, tools, and equipment in accordance with procurement policy.
- Maintain Daily Schedule Control and record preventive maintenance.
- Process waste solids generated from treatment processes.
- Execute equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and housekeeping practices for wastewater hardware.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment; follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and safety policies.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Mechanical and basic electrical aptitude.
- Familiarity with standard maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Basic knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and required codes.
- Ability to comprehend and perform all required training, written and verbal instructions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule.
- High‑volume production warehouse with exposure to extreme heat/cold, dust, and noise.
- Regularly required to move, lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Requires bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting, and use of hands for grasping.
- Standing and walking for long periods; use of ladders, mezzanines, and aerial lifts.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Class 2B Boiler License required.
