Employment Specialist II
Lifeworks Services, Inc.

Lifeworks is hiring a full‑time Employment Specialist II to support adults with disabilities in finding meaningful employment and to provide on‑the‑job coaching for those already in the community. In this role, you’ll manage a caseload, attend intakes and annual meetings, complete required documentation, and collaborate with individuals and their support teams to deliver person‑centered planning and services that empower success.

Position Details
  • Title: Employment Specialist II
  • Department: Employment Services
  • Hours: Full‑time, 40 hrs/week, Monday – Friday (non‑exempt)
  • Location: Mankato, MN
  • Compensation: $20 – $21.50 per hour
  • Sign‑on Bonus: up to $1,500 (paid at 60 days and 120 days)
  • Yearly Bonus Eligible: Yes

How You’ll Be Spending Your Time
  • Work with individuals in community settings, including volunteering and self‑advocacy opportunities.
  • Support job seekers with individual job development and placement at job sites.
  • Identify, write, and implement person‑centered goals with the individuals.
  • Organize and coordinate annual meetings with persons served and their support teams.
  • Support individuals in developing job‑retention skills and natural work supports.
  • Assist through the job application process: resume, cover letter, and employment paperwork (background checks, drug screens).
  • Complete all 245D required paperwork by deadlines.
Requirements
  • Four‑year degree in human services or related field; or a two‑year degree with two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination totaling four years.
  • Experience managing a caseload, coordinating with support teams, writing goals, and person‑centered planning.
  • Reliable transportation for work driving purposes.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must complete and pass a pre‑employment background study, a physical, and a drug screen.
