Job Summary

Assists Store Management with in‑store supervision, including directing personnel. Provides effective leadership to all associates and displays the highest level of customer service in all areas. This position will function as a front‑line member of the Retail Store Leadership Team at our NEW STORE location in Manor, TX.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve guest issues effectively.
  • Keep supervisor informed of product, guest, and/or personnel issues.
  • Monitor and approve guest returns in accordance with retail policies.
  • Monitor associates’ guest service levels and provide feedback as needed.
  • Utilize the GUESTS program when interacting with guests on the sales floor or phone, and when handling guest‑owned jewelry.
  • Prepare and review supply orders from the JAC warehouse, and place orders for other items through the applicable purchasing channels.
  • Perform leadership responsibilities for store opening and closing duties.
  • Provide leadership and training to associates in all areas of responsibility, emphasizing guest service and sales. Coordinate regular associate training and/or seasonal training, and delegate assignments to associates.
  • Assist in the annual inventory process, ensuring compliance with established processes and guidelines. Assist in inventory cycle counting, adjustments, shipping and receiving of merchandise while following company procedures. Notify the appropriate retail and corporate staff when inventory issues are discovered.
  • Participate in and assist in conducting regularly scheduled store meetings.
  • Implement plans to effectively participate in company special events and/or promotions.
  • Develop and conduct team‑building activities.
  • Monitor product trends and changes in retail and communicate to the District Manager.
Product Care
  • Be fully trained to operate all service equipment, including polish motors, handheld polishers, PUK weld equipment, pin finisher units, ultrasonic units, small tools and related chemicals. Able to train staff to operate all service area equipment and small tools.
  • Ensure product care services meet or exceed operational standards.
  • Perform staging, setup, maintenance, and replacement of display items using visual merchandising guide parameters.
  • Assist store management in maintaining company standards for overall store presentation.
  • Process employee purchases in the absence of Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Co‑Manager.
  • Ensure company security procedures are used to protect assets.
  • Review and create employee schedules in the absence of Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Co‑Manager.
  • Approve store schedules ensuring compliance with operational and budgetary guidelines and that customer service levels are met.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and high organizational skills.
  • Be able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Observe all safety regulations; participate in all safety training; report unsafe conditions to the appropriate company personnel.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including attendance guidelines, freedom from harassment, and electronic communication guidelines.

Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of retail or customer service experience is preferred. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Pass a background check as well as an alcohol, controlled substance, and illegal drug screen that meets company standards before beginning.
