Position OverviewADB is a nationwide full‑turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including wireline, wireless, technology and engineering. We provide unrivaled safety and growth opportunities for our team.
Roles and Responsibilities- Provides mid‑level aerial installation functions including hand digging, setting up traffic control, entry‑level equipment operations, placing fiber, climbing poles, and loading materials.
- Proficient with utility print and map reading.
- Has performed at least 2 years of independent aerial cable placement and installation; knows all safety regulations with basic operating skills.
- Climbs utility poles and/or utilizes lift to place cable in adherence to print designs and maps.
- Supports the set‑up and shut‑down of utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions.
- Follows required safety practices while performing safety‑sensitive duties.
- Trains alongside experienced construction crews learning fiber installation, print reading, equipment operations and OSHA requirements.
- Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites.
- Acts as right‑hand to the Foreman, leads by example, ensures safety rules/regulations are followed, and may lead other’s on jobsites.
- Performs OTJ training with Foreman or Senior Foreman to grow technical and leadership skills.
- Assists in identifying hazards by utilizing the pre‑task process.
- Performs other position duties when requested.

- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions such as sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing.
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite.
- Regular exposure to all weather conditions: hot, humid, cold, rain, snow, ice, etc.
- Wearing common protective safety equipment – safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel‑toed boots.
- 2+ years of lineman experience within the telecommunications industry.
- Formalized training or Lineman certification from an accredited tech school.
- 6 months OTJ training and 1 year of Lineman experience required if no formal education.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- CDL license (or ability to obtain).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
