Payroll and Accounts Administrator, Harrogate | £28,500 per annum | 35hrs/week, Office Based An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll and Accounts Administrator. This is a varied, hands-on role where payroll will be your main focus, alongside supporting the wider finance team with accounts administration. The role is full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and fully office based, offering a supportive working environment and strong benefits.

You will take ownership of the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service to employees, while also assisting with day-to-day finance administration tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

Payroll Processing monthly payroll, including new starters, leavers, sickness absence, holiday pay, and maternity/paternity pay Administering SSP, SMP, and SPP schemes Submitting accurate monthly RTI submissions Completing monthly payroll reconciliations for review Providing guidance to staff on pay, tax, and National Insurance queries Administering employee benefits, including pensions Calculating and issuing P60s and P11

Ds Accounts & Finance Support Sales ledger administration Setting up direct bank payments and BACS Managing petty cash Supporting wider finance administration (training provided where needed) Requirements A strong level of numeracy, educated to GCSE level (AC) in Maths and English or equivalent Previous experience using payroll systems and payroll procedures Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel Strong administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work well as part of a team Benefits Company pension scheme Discounted or free food Health & wellbeing programme Life insurance Free all-day on-street parking Walking distance to bus and train links
