Teacher Active are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor for work in mainstream secondary schools in the Mansfield area for a January 2026 start. This role encompasses all year groups from years 7 to 11, up to year 13 in schools that have 6th form sections. The Cover Supervisor is a vital and valued role within the school, helping to ensure continuity of provision for students across all age groups.

The role will be in the Secondary phase, managing children in the classroom and ensuring they are working on the tasks set. Lesson plans will be set by the teacher you are covering and all work will be handed to you by your line manager.

Manage children in the classroom and supervise their work on tasks.

• Experience working with children aged between 3-18 (tutoring, mentoring, 1-1, coaching etc.)
• Good classroom management skills
• Excitement about working with children
• Ability to be proactive and get involved
