Position Overview

The University of Connecticut, School of Nursing, seeks applications for a full-time, 11-month Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor and Graduate Track Director for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in curriculum planning for the graduate track.
  • Define course outcomes and develop assessment metrics.
  • Oversee faculty and student processes within the PMHNP track.
  • Assist with clinical placement and practice experiences.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD.
    • Unencumbered RN and APRN licensure in CT or eligible by hire date.
    • National certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
    • At least 2 years of full-time teaching in higher education.
    • At least 2 years of experience as a certified APRN.
    • Knowledge of accreditation standards and exam blueprints.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in program and curriculum development, especially online education.
    • Proven teaching excellence and leadership in higher education.
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to diversity and inclusive teaching practices.
    • Active involvement in professional organizations and curriculum development.
    Appointment Details

    This is an 11-month, non-tenure track position, starting August 23, 2025, with primary duties at Storrs campus and potential regional campus involvement. Salary is commensurate with experience.
