Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care on a nursing unit/department following unit policies and procedures. You will supervise non‑RN personnel, delegate and oversee unit activities when assuming the charge role, and may be required to work on other nursing units as staff and patient distribution demands. Additional duties will be assigned or requested to maintain a high level of service.
Job DescriptionProvide high quality, patient‑centered nursing care, support interprofessional teams, and ensure compliance with regulations and protocols. Manage patient charts, coordinate treatments, and maintain accurate documentation using electronic patient records. Serve as a mentor and supervisor to junior staff and support unit efficiency and patient safety.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Proficient in use of computer software, including electronic patient records.
- Ability to use the Internet for literature searches and evidence‑based practice.
- Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification required.
