CADD Technician I

. This is an entry‑level position that requires developing knowledge in a specific area of drafting—electrical, mechanical, or civil—while operating a computer‑aided drafting (CAD) system. Work is performed under direct supervision, with revisions or spot‑checks made during progress. The incumbent is expected to develop skills in their area of expertise and to work with increasing independence.

- Diagrams, schematics, layouts, and multi‑view drawings to scale per client requests.
- Mathematical, geometrical, and minor engineering computations.
- Produce engineering drawings using CAD systems.
- Develop detailed design drawings and related specifications for civil/electrical equipment based on sketches, specifications, and data.
- Additional scope: structure, schematic, foundation, grounding, steel, layout, equipment, apparatus, wiring, panel, AC/DC, one‑lines, and other drawings required for substation, relay, and line design job packages.
- File drawings, maintain catalogs of engineering data, and perform other routine drawing‑room functions as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of training at a technical school or equivalent experience.
- Proven AutoCAD and/or Micro Station skills.
- Strong PC/IT skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to interact with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated.
- Work independently.
- Team‑oriented.
- Customer‑oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to team members.
- Experience in producing engineering‑quality drawings.
