Job DescriptionAs a Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for helping grow and maintain our Insurance Agency. The role focuses on developing and applying skills to generate new business through leads from RFG’s lending operations, an existing database of previous Radius borrowers, and direct outreach to external contacts. Specific responsibilities include:
Primary Duties- Prepare for and pass the Massachusetts Property & Casualty Agent exams.
- Contribute to the New Business Development Team through assigned workflow tasks.
- Learn all aspects of the Agency’s operations to build a solid foundation for professional growth.
- Serve as the main point of contact for prospective customers and internal referrers during the entire new business process.
- Engage prospective customers, maintain proactive communication, address questions, and close sales.
- Perform preliminary underwriting/quoting for refinance loans.
- Partner with agency underwriters and staff to maximize lead conversion.
- Gather information, manage tasks and notes, follow up, and document activities.
- Pass along commercial leads from existing customers who own businesses.
- Continuously enhance knowledge and skills to become a fully productive Property & Casualty Producer.
- Solicit home and auto new business from previous Radius borrowers (legacy leads).
- Perform administrative tasks related to agency systems upkeep.
- Translate leads into active quotes (minimum 100/month).
- Contribute to the agency’s sales goal of at least 40 new policies per week.
- Meet or exceed quote turnaround times.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Massachusetts Personal Lines or Property & Casualty insurance license required.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $40,000 (initial), with potential for higher earnings based on performance.
