Mansfield | Academic Instruction The Ohio State University invites applications for the position of Coordinator of First-year Engagement and Transition Programs at the Mansfield campus. The Coordinator of First-Year Engagement and Transition Programs develops, implements, and assesses co-curricular initiatives that promote student belonging, engagement, and successful transition to the university. The position focuses on targeted student populations, strategic partnerships, and high-impact student engagement experiences that complement the academic work of the First-Year Experience program.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
**** Teaching EXP 1100
** Teach 5 sections of EXP 1100 in the AU semester

Teach 1 section to EXP 1100 in SP semester
** Student Success
** Lead development and implementation of Buckeyes FIRST.Create programming, networking opportunities, and support initiatives for first-generation students.

Provide one-on-one coaching to students

Coordinate campus resource connections.

Assess program outcomes and recommend improvements.
** Targeted Population Initiatives and Programming for Student Success
** Serve as point person for Say Yes students.

Develop programming and support structures for identified student populations.

Develop workshops and events that complement first-year student learning and development.

Collaborate with campus partners to create scalable engagement opportunities throughout the academic year.

Promote student connection, resource utilization, and persistence.

Coordinate cohort experiences designed to foster belonging and campus engagement.
** Partnerships:
Admissions, Transition, and Campus Change
** Serve as primary liaison between First Year Experience and Admissions.

Collaborate on recruitment, orientation, and new student transition events.

Support onboarding initiatives for incoming students and families.

Develop programming to support successful campus change to Columbus, in conjunction with campus advising team.
** Preferred Qualifications
** Experience in student affairs, first-year experience, student success, or higher education programming.

Knowledge of student development, and retention practices.

Strong event planning and partnership-building skills.
** Minimum Requirements
** Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.## Additional Information:
