If you are an experienced Quality Assurance professional who enjoys collaborating cross functionally to get the job done, we have a great opportunity for you! The Quality Assurance Engineer at Emerson is part of a team responsible for establishing and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with the various Quality Assurance Manuals and all other applicable specifications

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • Schedule, perform, and document internal and external audits.
  • Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits.
  • Support achievement of business performance goals through data acquisition and analysis, scrap and rework reduction, and continual process improvement.
  • Develop nondestructive examination procedures in accordance with applicable codes and specifications.
  • Review Certified Material Test Reports for chemical composition and mechanical property compliance to material standards.
  • Train internal personnel in QA program requirements.
  • Initiate and close corrective actions.
  • Approve disposition of nonconforming material through Material Rejection Notice process.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports relating to internal process quality and efficiency, supplier quality, and status of corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality records.
  • Review vendor purchase order requirements for compliance to quality and engineering specifications.
FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering; or 5-7 years of relevant work experience, or comparable combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
  • ASME, ANSI, AWS and military specifications.
  • ASME Sec IX knowledge and experience.
  • NQA - 1 Lead Auditor qualification.

The salary range for this role is $80, annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
