Powder Coater

Position Summary

The Powder Coater is responsible for applying powder coating to metal parts and products to achieve a durable, high-quality finish. This role involves surface preparation, operation of powder coating equipment, curing parts in ovens, and performing quality inspections to ensure all products meet specifications and safety standards.

• Prepare parts for coating by cleaning, masking, sandblasting, or chemical pretreatment
• Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment according to specifications
• Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature and cure times
• Inspect finished parts for proper coverage, thickness, color, and finish quality
• Touch up or recoat parts as needed to meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

• Previous experience as a Powder Coater or in an industrial painting/coating role preferred
• Knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment
• Ability to read work orders and follow specifications
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Commitment to safety and proper PPE use

• Experience with electrostatic spray systems
• Familiarity with pretreatment lines and curing ovens
• Understanding of coating thickness measurements and quality standards
• Forklift experience a plus

• Manufacturing/industrial facility
• Exposure to heat, dust, and fumes (with appropriate safety equipment)
