Position: Staff RN- Stroke/Cardiac Intermediate  (Mansfield)

Overview

Staff RN
- Stroke/Cardiac Intermediate (Mansfield) t-time (24 hrs/wk), Day Shift (7a-7p).

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The department operates 24/7/365 with scheduled staff and follows department policies and nursing care standards to provide professional nursing care services.

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients. The job profile provides an overview of responsibilities and duties and is not exhaustive and may change at any time.

Responsibilities And Duties
  • Assessment/Diagnosis – Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and/or individual.
  • Outcomes Identification/Planning – Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
  • Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluate and document response to nursing interventions; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revise the plan of care based on evaluative data.
  • Leadership – Actively participate in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Operations – Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree (Required); BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association); RN – Registered Nurse (Ohio Board of Nursing).
  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
  • BSN required at 5 years of employment.
