Part Time Security Officer

Position Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, tenants, and employees. This role involves monitoring property, responding to incidents, enforcing policies, and providing excellent customer service. This is a part-time positions where you can work approximately 30 hours per week. Schedules vary based on availability, but weekends will be required. This is a great opportunity for those seeking additional income around their normal/full-time job.

• Patrol the premises, including common areas, parking lots, and entrances, to deter and detect security risks.
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems for suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and medical situations, following established procedures.
• Enforce policies, rules, and regulations in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions in detailed reports.
• Assist tenants, guests, and staff with security-related concerns or inquiries.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards.
• Participate in security training, drills, and ongoing professional development.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or law enforcement training preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and communication purposes.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and respond quickly in emergency situations.
