The Mason Tender supports masonry activities by keeping materials, scaffold, and other masonry supportive activities complete ahead of bricklayer's work.

• Stocks block, brick, stone, and other masonry units
• Keeps wire reinforcing, flashing, drip edge, veneer ties, control joint cross, expansion foam and other masonry accessories readily available when needed
• Mixes mortar and masonry grout
• Cuts masonry units
• Assists with installation of masonry grout and rebar
• Keeps work area clean and organized
• Lays out and builds scaffolding
• Cleans and maintains masonry equipment (grout hog, mixer, saws, etc.)
• Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform mason tending duties
• 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift heavy units in a repetitive manner
• Ability to work at heights without fear including work on scaffolding and ladders
• Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid, and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
• Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may require overnight stays away from home
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
