Since 2006, the team has supported projects across all phases with expertise in building product research, evaluation and selection, construction specifications, sustainability strategy, procurement guidance, and envelope performance. Jordan Consultants works across hospitality, multifamily residential, healthcare, education, commercial, mixed‑use, civic, industrial, and community environments. The firm goes beyond specification writing to support informed decision‑making through submittal review, substitution evaluation, and product research aligned with current codes and sustainability frameworks such as LEED.

This full‑time, on‑site role in Mansfield, TX. Senior Specifier, Specifier, and Specification Coordinator levels, with title commensurate with experience. The individual in this role will work closely with project architects, engineers and designers to develop, coordinate, and maintain project manuals, technical specifications and manufactured goods and systems from schematic design through construction documents. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include reviewing drawings and design narratives, researching and evaluating building products, and drafting specifications that align with performance criteria, codes, and sustainability frameworks.

The role also involves coordinating with manufacturers, consulting engineers and other stakeholders to ensure consistency across disciplines, assisting with submittal and substitution reviews, and supporting procurement and envelope performance decisions. This position is expected to manage multiple projects concurrently, maintain organized documentation, and contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing within the firm.

• Demonstrated expertise in architectural specifications, including development, coordination, and editing of project manuals for a range of building types.
• Experience with building product research and evaluation, including performance criteria, code compliance, and alignment with sustainability frameworks (e.g., LEED).
• Strong understanding of building systems and construction documentation, including coordination with drawings and consultant documents.
• Ability to support design teams through submittal review, substitution evaluation, and procurement-related guidance.
• Proficiency with industry‑standard specification tools and formats (e.g., CSI Master Format, specification software) and common design platforms.
• Excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate design intent into clear, concise technical language.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
• Relevant education in architecture, architectural technology, construction management, or a related field; professional licensure or CSI/CCS certification is beneficial.
