Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day activities and supervision of a group of project accounting professionals. You will perform advanced level accounting duties on assigned projects—including revenue recognition, transactional accounting, and complex invoicing—alongside analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. You will act as a trusted business advisor to management, providing financial insight and performance guidance, resolving complex or high‑risk issues, ensuring contractual compliance, and working under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoicing:
  Review and guide complex invoice matters, approve credit memos, monitor tax compliance, manage cash collections, and communicate past‑due issues with clients.
• Financial Analysis:
  Conduct research and respond to project‑related questions, consolidate reporting, and provide ad‑hoc analysis to internal clients.
• Financial Reporting:
  Review project income statements, explain variances, and communicate financial risk and opportunities.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  Update business systems with budgets and forecasts, develop financial models, and review financial inputs and metrics.
• Projects:
  Prepare and review project structures, open projects in the accounting system, administer cash disbursements, communicate financial data to management, and evaluate new accounting tools and procedures.
• Compliance:
  Assist with audit requests and interact directly with auditors.
• Supervisory & Resource Management:
  Provide direction, oversee performance, career planning, training, and continuous improvement for the team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
• Typically 7+ years of related experience.
• Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master Business Administration (MBA) or MS in Accounting.
• Preferably four years of experience in project accounting.
• Experience hiring and supervising professionals.
