JOB SUMMARYAs a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at Catalyst Physician Group, you'll be a vital part of our team, helping our communities thrive by providing direct patient care and supporting clinical operations. You will see approx. 15-25 patients per day and have in office support as well as Catalyst support teams including 24/7 care team support, referral coordinators and more.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Functions independently to perform a broad range of medical services including, but not limited to the following:

Providing direction, coordination, and evaluation of patient care delivery

Patient assessment

Age-appropriate history and physical

Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions

Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays relative to a patient's specific needs

Annual exams

Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Current Texas license and certification

Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program

Experience as an NP or PA in an outpatient clinic setting

Competent with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years related experience preferably in an Internal Medicine or Primary Care outpatient setting

Athena EMR experience
