Position summary:

You will assist management with the supervision of associates in an assigned area. Your responsibilities include assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques. You will also ensure member complaints and issues are resolved according to company guidelines, maintain compliance with company policies, support the Open Door Policy, and participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members; processes memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; and encourages membership renewals.

• Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and using self‑service technology; and ensures club pick‑up orders are filled.

• Oversees assigned area of responsibility by handling claims and returns, arranging merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and maintaining parking lot cleanliness.

• Completes accounting records, files, transactions, and other required documentation by following accounting office procedures; prepares daily deposits and oversees cash fund transfers.

• Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other partners; monitors progress and results; and identifies improvement opportunities.

• Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity by guiding employees and handling ethical and compliance issues.

• Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating work assignments, and modeling adaptability to change.

Live Better U is a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short‑form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are fully paid for by Walmart.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may be paid in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 months of retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register) and 6 months of customer service experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leading a front‑end team; supervising experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others
