Lead Ductwork Installation for a Growing Commercial HVAC Team

Comfort Technologies is looking for an experienced Commercial Ductwork Foreman to lead our installation crews on commercial HVAC projects throughout the DFW Metroplex. We need a hands-on leader with deep experience installing commercial duct systems, reading mechanical drawings, and running a crew that keeps jobs safe, on schedule, and done right the first time.

Responsibilities

Lead, schedule, and supervise ductwork installation crews on commercial job sites
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and shop drawings
Lay out, install, and modify rectangular, round, spiral, and flex duct systems
Install diffusers, grilles, registers, dampers, fire/smoke dampers, VAVs, and fan powered boxes
Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule
Order and track materials and confirm deliveries match job needs
Make field measurements and communicate fabrication needs to the shop
Make sure installations meet code, project specs, and quality standards
Train and mentor apprentices and installers
Enforce jobsite safety, including OSHA rules, lift safety, and PPE
Complete daily reports, timesheets, and job documentation

Typical Project Work

New construction and tenant finish-out
Equipment retrofit and replacement projects
RTU replacements and duct modifications
Office, retail, industrial, healthcare, and data center facilities

Service Area Projects Are Located Throughout The DFW Metroplex, Including

Arlington
Fort Worth
Dallas
Weatherford
Frisco / Mc Kinney
Waxahachie / Cleburne
Rockwall

Qualifications Required

7+ years of commercial ductwork/sheet metal installation experience
2+ years leading crews as a foreman or lead installer
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
Strong knowledge of duct layout, hanging, sealing, and insulation practices
Experience working with scissor lifts, boom lifts, and ladders at heights
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varied jobsite conditions

Preferred

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
Aerial/scissor lift certification
Experience with SMACNA standards
Experience on large commercial or data center projects
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Schedule

Typical hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
Overtime available based on project needs
Occasional early starts, weekends, or after-hours work to meet project deadlines
