Horizons Academy is a state‑of‑the‑art special school established in January 2026 to support children and young people aged 7 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and autism spectrum conditions (ASC). The academy can accommodate 160 pupils with class sizes of approximately 8 students.

The role of Midday Supervisor is a caring and supporting position that assists pupils during lunchtime. Supervisors work across the entire age range, addressing varying needs and behaviours under the general direction of the Behaviour Lead.

• Work directly with young people, building relationships and ensuring the community is safe and well supported.
• Promote safe and acceptable standards of behaviour.
• Follow instructions to support children in an educational setting.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain good relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Have previous experience of caring for or working with children.
