SEN Teacher – Maths & Science
Permanent Contract – 40 hours per week, Term Time Only
Salary: M1–M6 depending on skills and experience (£32,916 – £45,352 per annum for September starters)
We are seeking a compassionate, creative and committed SEN Teacher to join our team and help deliver a truly personalised learning experience for young people. About the RoleAs an SEN Teacher specialising in Maths and Science, you will work with learners aged 7–19 in small group and 1:1 settings, delivering an engaging and flexible curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
You will work closely with Lead Teachers to create innovative, multi-sensory learning experiences tailored to each learner’s individual needs, interests and aspirations.
The role focuses on building confidence, increasing engagement and supporting learners to progress academically, socially and emotionally, while ensuring their wellbeing, safety and inclusion remain central to all practice.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver and review personalised learning programmes, including lesson plans and schemes of work
- Use creative and varied teaching approaches to maximise engagement and meet diverse learning needs
- Advocate for young people and involve them in decisions about their learning
- Support Learning Managers with learner profiles, SEN information, assessments, progress tracking and reports
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement planning
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for commissioning bodies, including EHCP documentation and transition planning
- Engage in ongoing professional development and remain up to date with best practice in SEN education

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching either Maths or Science, or willingness to undertake professional development in these subjects
- SEN teaching experience (preferred)
- A relevant Level 6 qualification
