About the Provision: We believe every young person deserves a chance to thrive. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Lead to become the heartbeat of our Mansfield hub.

The Role: As a Pastoral Lead, you won't just manage behaviour - you will transform lives. Reporting to the School/Hub Lead, you will create a nurturing environment where students feel safe, heard, and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Wellbeing: Deliver daily 1:1 pastoral support, tutorial sessions, and targeted interventions.

  • De-escalation & Mediation: Provide conflict resolution, restorative conversations, and student de-briefs.

  • Safeguarding & Attendance: Support robust safeguarding processes and actively promote student attendance.

  • Student Voice: Facilitate the student council, questionnaires, and forums to ensure our young people have a voice in their education.

  • Collaboration: Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams, parents, carers, and external agencies, attending key multi-agency meetings.

  • Data & Insights: Record and analyse pastoral data to help tailor individualised student support programmes.

What We Are Looking For: A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Education, Youth Work, Social Care).

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

  • Extensive experience in a pastoral, wellbeing, or youth-focused role.

  • Proven experience supporting young people with SEND, ASC, or mental health complexities.

  • A calm, reflective mindset with strong behavior de-escalation skills.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
