Monarch Education is looking for reliable, flexible and caring SEND Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, supporting specialist SEND settings across Rainworth and the surrounding areas
.
This role is ideal for people looking for flexible work around their availability
, whether that’s a few days a week or full-time supply. Bookings can include pre-booked cover as well as morning/on-call work
, so we are looking for candidates who are happy to be contacted for work at short notice.
You could work across a variety of specialist settings, supporting children and young people with needs including Autism, learning difficulties, SEMH, physical disabilities, sensory needs, communication difficulties and behaviours that challenge
.
Assignments can range from single-day cover to short-term and longer-term placements
, giving you the opportunity to gain experience across different schools and settings.
- Be available for pre-booked and on-call/morning supply cover
. - Provide 1:1, small group and classroom support
. - Quickly adapt to different schools, pupils, routines and levels of need.
- Support pupils with a range of SEND and additional needs
. - Assist with personal care, mobility and physical support where required.
- Support pupils with sensory, communication and emotional regulation needs
. - Confidently support pupils who may display behaviours that challenge
. - Follow individual EHCPs, care plans and behaviour/support plans
. - Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide consistent support.
- Previous experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND, additional needs or disabilities
. - Reliable and flexible
, with the ability to accept work at short notice. - Comfortable going into different schools and specialist settings
. - Able to adapt quickly to new pupils, teams and routines.
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
- Comfortable providing personal care and physical support where required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
Experience with in SEND schools, alternative provision, care, healthcare, residential settings or support work would be highly beneficial.
Experience supporting Autism, SLD, PMLD, SEMH, physical disabilities, non-verbal pupils, sensory needs or challenging behaviour would also be advantageous.
