On behalf of our Client we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Sales Development Engineer, with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join the team of this first class business.

The Sales Engineer will be selling a range of high quality Industrial Automation products, i.e. Control Gear, Switchgear, Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, Enclosures, Connectors & Consumables, PLC/HMI and Process Instrumentation and ATEX equipment into the OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets throughout the North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire & parts of Derbyshire areas. Suitable locations would include Mansfield, Worksop, Retford, Alfreton, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, Dronfield, Sheffield.

• Achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to achieve objectives through managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts while constantly striving to identify new avenues of business.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Industrial Automation sector.
• Maintain and grow relationships with OEMs, end users, system integrators and panel builders.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
• Work autonomously while being an effective team player.
• Use Microsoft packages proficiently.

• Sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry with a record of sales success and achievement.
• Formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrated industry sector and product knowledge and sales ability.
• Experience in further career development training to enhance sales skills is ideal.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
