An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cardboard Engineer to join a creative, fast-paced manufacturing and display design team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in cardboard engineering, packaging, structural design, or product design who thrives on problem-solving and taking innovative concepts through to production.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with 3D designers, graphic designers, engineers, and project managers to create semi-permanent displays and packaging concepts for well-known global and high-street brands.

• Generate cardboard engineering cutter guides for innovative displays and packaging
• Conduct weight testing and experiment with new structures, prototypes, and materials
• Develop solutions for a wide range of briefs, from simple shelf trays to complex free‑standing displays and event sites
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet client specifications, retail guidelines, and manufacturing capabilities
• Contribute to value engineering and develop manufacturing efficiencies
• Push the boundaries of design possibilities while maintaining cost‑effectiveness and compliance

• Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes
• Proficiency with engineering or design software such as Artios
  
  CAD, AutoCAD, Kasemake, Impact, or similar
• Awareness of value engineering and cost‑effective production
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with designers, project managers, and sales teams
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced studio environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Creative mindset with a willingness to challenge conventions and explore innovative solutions
