Our client is a well-established and growing engineering business operating within the specialist machinery sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their workshop team in Mansfield.

The Role
Working within a busy workshop environment, you'll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and rebuild of heavy machinery and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Strip down, inspect, overhaul, and rebuild heavy plant machinery
Diagnose and repair faults on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs to a high standard
Utilise diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to optimise machinery performance
Ensure all work complies with company quality and safety standards
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience working on heavy plant machinery, diesel engines, hydraulics, or similar equipment
NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering, HGV Mechanics, or equivalent
Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous
Full UK Driving Licence
Own tools preferred
Right to work in the UK
