Commercial Manager

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a Commercial Manager role? Are you looking for a company that is looking to help you for a step up into Commercial Manager?

We're working with a leading specialist civil engineering contractor to recruit a Commercial Manager to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure and ground engineering projects while leading commercial performance across a varied project portfolio.

You'll work closely with operational teams, clients and senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

Commercial management of multiple civil engineering projects.
Leading cost reporting, forecasting and financial performance.
Managing subcontract procurement and subcontract accounts.
Administration of NEC contracts, including compensation events.
Managing client relationships and commercial negotiations.
Preparing CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reports.
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors within the team.
Ensuring projects are successfully delivered through to final account.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.
Strong background within civil engineering, ground engineering, piling, rail, highways, utilities or infrastructure.
Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Full UK driving licence.
