Turner Fox is working with a government organisation to recruit an experienced Stakeholder Engagement Manager to support a major water and land regeneration programme, alongside other capital projects as required.
This is a high-impact role for a strategic engagement professional who thrives in complex environments and understands how to bring communities, regulators and delivery partners together around shared outcomes.
The Role of Stakeholder Engagement Manager
You will lead the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies across a diverse network of communities, strategic partners, government bodies and technical specialists.
Acting as a key interface between internal teams and external consultants, you will ensure stakeholder insight is embedded throughout the lifecycle of significant infrastructure and environmental improvement projects.
This role requires someone who can quickly step into a live programme, confidently navigate planning and regulatory processes, and coordinate across multiple agencies to maintain momentum and trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder analysis and develop tailored engagement strategies.
- Map stakeholder needs against programme milestones and delivery plans.
- Design and implement comprehensive engagement plans aligned to capital projects.
- Capture and validate stakeholder requirements to inform design and delivery.
- Act as client lead with consultants and contractors to ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate engagement activity across government bodies, regulators, NGOs and community groups.
- Monitor risks and issues, supporting mitigation and effective governance.
The ideal candidate for the role of Stakeholder Engagement Manager will have
- Experience leading stakeholder and community engagement within infrastructure, environmental or public sector development projects.
- Confidence working with technical information and translating it for non-technical audiences.
- Strong written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience managing engagement within complex planning or regulatory environments.
- The ability to work at pace, manage competing priorities and build trusted relationships at all levels.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility for travel and overnight stays.
- A relevant degree (or equivalent experience) is essential. Professional membership and project management experience are desirable.
This is an opportunity to play a central role in delivering nationally important environmental and infrastructure improvements, working collaboratively to achieve lasting benefits for communities and the natural environment.
