We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and well-motivated flexible person to join our busy nursing team who strives toensure that our patients receive the best possible service from the Practice.
We are looking for somebody who has experience in this role.
Main duties of the jobNew patient health checks
BP monitoring
ECG taking & recording
Urinalysis
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested byGPs/Nurses
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before,during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations and vasectomies
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients healthand well-being
Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients thathave been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how itcan be promoted
Provide lifestyle advice to patients making any necessaryreferrals within the practice
Weight monitoring
Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
Assist in practice audit, CQC compliance evidence and QOFrecalls.
Conduct home visits for housebound patients.
About usWorking with a friendly,supportive practice team of approximately 50 staff. We prioritize the wellbeing of staff and undertake various activities, ie walking group.
The practice supportspersonal development.
Training practice, forGP's, Medical Students and Nurses.
12 GP's, Nursing Team, 4PN's, 4 HCA's, 2 Community Matrons, Care Home Nurses, Prescribing Team, Care Co-Ordinators, Team of experienced receptionists and administrative staff.

Person Specification Qualifications- Care Certificate or equivalent
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Venepuncture competency
- ECG competency
- NHS Health Check training
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Experience with in General Practice
- IT literacy and clinical system experience (EMIS/Systm One)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of confidentiality and information governance
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children
