The post holder will be a member of the Community CAMHS West team which offers a service to children, young people, and their families within Nottinghamshire, which consists of Mansfield, Ashfield and Hucknall areas.

As a Family Support Worker, you will work within the Choice and Partnership Approach framework. The post holder will support partnership working through offering young people and their family’s choice and flexibility in the service they receive. The post holder will utilise Routine Outcome Measures (ROMS) to ensure partnership working which is goal specific.

The post also requires close liaison with a broad range of other disciplines and agencies, including health, education, social care, and voluntary agencies. The post holder works as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the framework of the services policies and procedures

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

To assist in the development and delivery of therapeutic interventions within a multi-agency, collaborative framework for the benefit of children, young people, and families under the supervision of staff within the Community CAMHS Team.

To implement agreed interventions within settings as appropriate and to report to staff within the Community CAMHS Team.

Aim to be innovative and creative in the delivery of therapeutic intervention/care bundle, and offer psychoeducation to children, young people, and families.

To strengthen the emotional health and wellbeing of children, young people, and families within the Community CAMHS Team.

To attend and contribute to reviews, where necessary and to provide written and verbal reports relating to a child’s and family’s progress.

To communicate in a sensitive and supportive manner with children, families, and other professionals to ensure children’s needs are met.

Seek support from the Clinical and Operational Lead(s) where needed, as well as accessing regular clinical and managerial supervision as per trust policy and professional registration requirements.

Support peers and colleagues and promote a team working environment.

Maintain contemporaneous records in alignment with Trust policy.

Work in partnership with other teams within the Nottinghamshire and bordering CAMHS Services.
