Double day shift pattern – due to working hours own transport is essential

c £31,300 plus excellent large company benefits

** Initially commencing on a temporary contract but after just 12 weeks trial period you have the opportunity to secure yourself a permanent contract subject to satisfactory performance.*
* We are currently recruiting for a leading Mansfield manufacturing company due to ongoing expansion plan they need a maintenance operative to support their busy machine shop.

Duties for maintenance operative

* Responsible for ensuring the Machine Shop is clean and tidy, by conducting daily tasks set by Machine shop Maintenance Leader

* Your daily tasks will include ensuring the machine swarf bins are emptied, topping up and maintaining machinery oil and coolant levels

* Assist in the routine services of machines when required.

* To carry out routine housekeeping.

* To pick up and drop off tooling and equipment to local subcontrators

* To run CNC Machines if needed.

* Assist in Ancillary departments when needed.

* Any other duties and ad hoc project work as and when required

Experience for maintenance operative

* Must have basic engineering experience or be a part qualified engineer

* Effective communication skills

* Attention to detail

* Ability to work under pressure

* Ensure all work is fit for purpose and to tight deadlines

* Ability to work as a team
