Plater Welder

Express Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our successful client who are a well-established and growing engineering organisation, currently seeking an experienced Plater Welder.

Working as part of a dedicated and experienced engineering team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the fabrication and assembly of structural steelwork and bespoke components, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and precision. Skills & Experience

* Time-served Plater with experience in heavy fabrication and structural steelwork

* Qualified and experienced welder with strong fabrication and assembly capabilities

* Proficient in both MIG and TIG welding processes across a range of materials and thicknesses

* Highly competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and fabrication plans

* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and use initiative to resolve production issues

* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and quality personnel

Roles & Responsibilities

* Interpreted and reviewed engineering drawings and technical specifications for fabricated and welded components

* Performed welding and plating operations in accordance with quality and safety standards

* Maintained strict adherence to dimensional tolerances and process parameters to ensure product quality

* Consistently met or exceeded production schedules and output targets

* Collaborated effectively with production teams to deliver customer orders on time and to specification

* Accurately marked and identified component parts throughout the manufacturing process
