Mental Health Nurse – Mansfield

Dream Medical is currently working with an NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a locum Mental Health Nurse for their hospital in Mansfield.

The hospital is seeking a full-time Mental Health Nurse to work Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, starting ASAP on a fixed long-term contract.

Duties include:

• Assessing and talking to patients about their problems and planning their care;
• Building trusting relationships with patients, listening to and interpreting their needs;
• Administering medication correctly, including injections, and monitoring treatment results;
• Responding to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and understanding the source of distress;
• Applying de-escalation techniques to help manage emotions and behavior.

You must:

• Hold a valid NMC pin;
• Provide two suitable references;
• Have a DBS within the last year;
• Have the right to work in the UK.
