£17.10 per hour with a £1.50 shift premium per hour. 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday 15:00-24:00.

- Oversee daily yard operations including loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of goods and vehicles.
- Schedule and coordinate yard activities to meet production, transport, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor yard layout and ensure optimal space utilisation and organisation.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing stock for accuracy, quality, and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movement logs, and yard documentation.
- Make improvements to yard processes.
- Lead, train, and motivate yard team to maintain high standards of performance and safety.
- Assign tasks and monitor workloads to ensure efficiency and accountability.
- Conduct daily team briefings and weekly toolbox talks to communicate operational priorities and safety updates.
- Manage timekeeping, attendance, and performance reviews for yard personnel.
- Enforce health and safety policies, including proper use of PPE and adherence to site regulations.
- Conduct routine spot checks of yard equipment and vehicles; perform secondary checks on forklifts once a week to ensure proper use.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and legal standards.
- Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of yard vehicles (e.g., forklifts, loaders, cranes).
- Ensure equipment is used correctly and kept in good working condition.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and collections that come in/out of the yard.
- Flag and report any significant inventory changes to the office, focusing on high quantity products, items running low, and slow-moving stock.
- Work closely with the Depot Manager, Assistant Manager, and office team.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in technical systems.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, outdoor, and physically demanding environment.
Must hold a valid FLT Certificate.
