About the Job
Domino’s Pizza is hiring Assistant Managers. This role requires strong judgment, basic math skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. The assistant manager will oversee all operations during their shift, ensuring that the store runs smoothly, that all policies are followed, and that customers receive excellent service.
- Manage all shift activities, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
- Set an example for the crew by following all company policies and procedures 100% of the time.
- Staff scheduling, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, and schedule adherence.
- Maintain a clean store environment and oversee marketing and profitability initiatives.
- Provide great customer service and enforce provincial and corporate standards.
- Handle daily operational tasks such as preparing orders, receiving telephone orders, and maintaining equipment.
- Lead training and orientation for new team members.
- Perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying trays, pushing and pulling dollies, and navigating stairs.
- Operates all equipment; stocks ingredients; prepares products; processes telephone orders.
- Completes inventory and associated paperwork; cleans equipment and facilities daily.
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and telephone; can give correct written instructions.
- Mathematical proficiency: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; calculates change accurately and quickly.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands; can make precise movements quickly.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
- Standing, walking, and sitting for various tasks.
- Lifting bags up to 50 lbs, carrying large cans and pizza dough.
- Pushing or pulling dollies up to 7.5 lbs of force.
- Climbing stairs or ladders when required.
- Performing forward bending, squatting, and reaching tasks throughout the shift.
- Using hand tools and operating equipment such as ovens, dough rollers, and pizza peels.
- Exposure to varying temperatures (36–90+ °F) and weather conditions during delivery.
- Potential contact with food odors, cornmeal dust, and hot surfaces up to 500 °F.
- Work in cramped quarters, including walk‑in coolers.
- Must use hearing, vision, and depth perception for in‑store and delivery tasks.
