Position Purpose
Under the supervision of the security supervisor, the security guard is responsible for protecting a person, organization or asset in the case of an incident. Duties include monitoring a specific area, evicting trespassers and writing reports detailing any occurrences during the shift. The overall duty of a security guard is to protect a company’s property, employees and visitors.
Functional ResponsibilityThis is a part-time role on Saturdays and Sundays from 12am-8:30am (16 hours a week).
Essential Duties- Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure
- Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities
- Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols
- Logging in and out trucks, sending them to their docks and checking their seals on their way out
- Conducting a 7‑point inspection on trucks
- Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities
- Providing detailed reports to management on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred
- Using provided communication devices such as two‑way radios in a clear and concise manner
- Calling police or fire departments in case of emergency, such as a fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Performing CPR or first aid when needed

Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience as a security guard
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Security Guard card
- Must be able to remain calm and rational in emergencies.
- Must exhibit excellent communication skills.
- Written and verbal communication competence.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- General office and winery working condition.
- Required to drive automatic vehicle or equipment frequently.
- Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations.
- Exposure to weather‑related temperature & humidity extremes.
- Extended hours and shift rotation.
- Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment.
- Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine.

Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
