Allied Water Services is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead underground utility projects out of our Manteno, IL location. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll drive projects from groundbreaking to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency every step of the way. • Oversee day‑to‑day field operations for underground utility construction projects including water, sewer, and storm drain systems
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, and equipment to maintain project schedules and budgets
• Enforce strict jobsite safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
• Interpret and work from construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and workmanship standards are met
• Communicate project status, issues, and updates to project managers and stakeholders
• Manage material procurement, deliveries, and on‑site inventory to minimize downtime

• 4+ years of experience in underground utility or heavy civil construction
• Proven experience in a superintendent or field leadership role
• Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and utility installation methods and best practices
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; trenching and excavation safety knowledge required
• Ability to read and interpret civil/construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and crew management skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; reliable transportation to Manteno, IL area jobsites
