Construction Manager

Gotion Inc. is based in Silicon Valley, CA, currently building a manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL and has R&D centers in Ohio, China, Japan and Europe. We innovate in the next‑generation electric vehicle and energy‑storage technologies (lithium batteries and related systems) to accelerate electrified transportation and achieve sustainable development.

• Manage the construction of our new brownfield EV battery manufacturing plant from start to finish in Kankakee County, Illinois.
• Develop and implement a construction plan that ensures the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
• Oversee all aspects of construction, including site preparation, foundation work, building construction, and installation of equipment, including the shipment and installation of manufacturing machinery.
• Ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are met.
• Manage the project budget and track expenses.
• Communicate regularly with the Chief Engineer and other senior management on the progress of the project.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in Mandarin/Chinese, ideally Native.
• 10+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years of experience on large, complex projects.
• Experience working with brownfield or greenfield sites is a plus.
• Knowledge of automotive regulations, EV batteries or energy, or complex site construction is a plus.
• Strong project‑management skills, including the ability to develop and implement project plans, track progress, and manage budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $180,000 - $200,000 plus 20% bonus and benefits. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. The expected pay range is $140,000 - $200,000 USD.
