3rd Shift Master Mixer

Urban Farmer master mixer position:
The master mixer is responsible for efficiently and accurately performing ingredient mixes. The individual must work together with other mixing team members to ensure optimum efficiency and to promptly report any concerns. The master mixer is in charge of the mixer assigned as well as appropriately and accurately filling out that mixer’s paperwork.

$21.00/hr - $22.95/hr

The master mixer position is responsible for efficiently and accurately performing ingredient mixes, working with the mixing team, maintaining documentation, and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.

• Follow specific recipe sheets to mix ingredients
• Weigh out dry and wet ingredients accurately
• Coordinate mixing process with mixer operators
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion
• Maintain appropriate PPE and sanitation procedures
• Communicate mixer concerns promptly to supervisor
• Ensure quality specifications are met
• Ensure that all safety rules, OSHA requirements and Company policies are followed
• All staff are responsible for compliance with all GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules while in the processing facility. Staff are encouraged to report Food Safety and Quality concerns immediately to their supervisors and Quality representatives on shift.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Management

• Qualified individuals must be at least 18 years old to work in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow work instruction and maintain pace of mixing is required.
• Effective communication skills are needed to maintain batches.
• This position requires attention to detail and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

• Work in and out of cold environment
• Must wear required PPE and follow sanitation protocol
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Maneuver around an array of equipment that may include bending, stooping, reaching above head
• Stand for majority of shift, up to 8 hrs at a time

This position works in a manufacturing environment with variable temperature and loud noises from machinery and equipment alarms.
